Shrine Board facilitates visually impaired group to perform pilgrimage to Vaishno Devi Shrine

KATRA: A group of visually impaired and differently-abled persons, including four children, from the National Federation of the Blind, New Delhi, visited the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and paid obeisance at the Sanctum Sanctorum. They were accompanied by their teachers and escorts.
Officers of the Shrine Board extended all required support and assistance to them in performing the pilgrimage. They were provided accommodation both at Katra and Bhawan, besides facilitating their journey from Katra to Bhawan and back.
The group of pilgrims was led by Vinay Kumar from the Central Office of the National Federation of the Blind, New Delhi.
Vinay lauded the Shrine Board for facilitating smooth Darshan for the group at the Holy Cave Shrine as also making all other required arrangements for performing the Yatra.
It is pertinent to mention that Ram Dass Dubey of the National Federation of the Blind, J and K Branch, Amphalla, Jammu, had addressed Chief Executive Officer of the Shrine Board, and requested for facilitating this group of visually impaired and differently-abled persons for performing the Yatra.
