POONCH: Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India has introduced ‘Awards to outstanding youth clubs’ through Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan(NYKS) at District, State and National level.
The main objective of these awards is to encourage the growth of youth clubs, to involve youth in developmental activities on voluntary basis and promote them to play active role in social, economic, cultural, sports, environment, communal harmony and national integration matters etc.
NYKS Poonch invited the applications from Registered youth clubs, Mahila Mandals, action groups, Social, Cultural, Sports Organisations affiliated to NYK Poonch for ‘Awards to outstanding youth clubs’ district level for the year 2016-17. District level winner clubs automatically qualify for State level award. Selection of award to outstanding youth club shall be made on the basis of merit of programmes /activities organised by the club for the period of April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017 in the age group of youth club members between 15-29 years and also programme organised in field of Social, Economic, Cultural, Sports, Environment, Education, Self -Employment, Community assists development, Health, Women and Child Welfare, Women empowerment, Community Awareness, Communal harmony, National integration, Eradication of social evils etc. The District level awardee club shall be given Rs.25, 000 as cash award and one citation certificate and shall quality for state level award.
The State level award will be Rs.1,00,000.00 while at National level, three awards of Rs 5,00,000, Rs. 3,00,000and Rs.2,00,000.00 will be given.
Interested and eligible clubs can collect applications forms from the office of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Khalsa Chowk Poonch, free of cost, on any working day from 10 A.M to 5.00 pm and submit after filling the relevant column along with photograph, certificates, programmes reports, press cutting of activities conducted by the club during the period of 1.4.16 to 31.3.17 up to 31st of August 2017.
