RAJOURI: The District Development Commissioner Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary reviewed the arrangements for Independence Day celebrations-2017 at a meeting of officers of district administration, army and CRPF.
Arrangements pertaining to seating, barricading, traffic management, security, sanitation, water and power supply, cultural programmes, public address system and parade contingents were reviewed in detail. The concerned officers were directed to expedite the finalization of preparations.
The DDC asked the team of officers for culture programmes to select items highlighting local culture, national integrity, secularism, pluralism and patriotism.
Later, the DDC along with a team of officers visited the venue of Independence Day celebrations and reviewed the arrangements being made there.
Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary also appealed the people to participate in large numbers to celebrate the day of national importance.
UDHAMPUR: Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Avny Lavasa on Tuesday chaired a meeting of senior officers to review the arrangements for the Independence Day celebrations.
The ADC took a detailed review of the arrangements put in place for the smooth conduct of the Independence Day.
The ADC took detailed stock of the arrangements like security, seating, transport facility, traffic management, cultural programmes, medicare facilities, illumination of government building etc.
It was given out in the meeting that the main event would held in the premises of Government Degree College, Boys Udhampur where the Chief Guest would unfurl the Tricolour.
The committees constituted to oversee the arrangements were asked to work in close coordination to make the celebrations of the national festival memorable.
