POONCH: A team of technical experts visited Salwa and Chatral in Tehsil Mendhar in search of talent in the game of volleyball with an aim to hold a tournament in the area in the month of October. The team was led by Executive Member of the Volleyball Association of J and K and Chairman of Shaheed Manjit Singh Volleyball Club Poonch, Tariq Khan.
“We have conducted an extensive exercise to catch the hidden talent, followed by the registration of those who had potential. Now, we have decided to hold an open tournament in Mendhar in the month of October,” said Mohd Tariq.
The open tournament shall be organised in memory of Physical Education Lecturer (PEM), Mohd Ikhlaq under the aegis of Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir.
