Dhaba owner held for selling liquor in Reasi

REASI: Police on Monday arrested an owner of Dhaba and recovered huge quantity of illicit liquor from his possession.
According to report, Police Post Bhambla received inputs that one person Narinder Singh alias Pappu, son of Ranjeet Singh, resident of Godhar Khalsa, Tehsil Pouni, Reasi is running Dhaba at Godhar Khalsa and indulging in sale of liquor illegally there. On this information, a police party led by SI Ranjeet Singh, In-Charge Police Post Bhambla conducted a raid in the Dhaba and recovered 144 poly pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J and K Excise liquor, 66 quarters of Regal Talons Whisky measuring 180/180 ml each, 24 quarters of M.C Whisky measuring 180/180 ml each and 90 cans of kingfisher bear 500/500 ml. Police arrested the accused and recovered liquor was also seized. A case FIR No. 44/2017 under Section 48-(A) Excise Act was registered at Police Station Pouni and investigation of the case is in progress. The recovery was made under the supervision of Inspector Sanjay Abrol, SHO Police Station Pouni and Nikhil Gogna, DySP Headquarters Reasi.
