SAMBA: Police on Monday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing 13 bovines, however smuggler managed to escape from the spot. According to a report, a party of Police Station Ghagwal headed by Rajeshwar Singh, SHO Ghagwal during the intervening night of August 6/7, 2017 laid a Naka at Ghagwal and during checking, seized a truck bearing Registration No. JK02S/8825 laden with 13 bovines. Driver of vehicle escaped after taking advantage of darkness however a case vide FIR No. 74/2017 under section 188 RPC, 2/3 PCA Act was registered at Police Station Ghagwal.
