JAMMU: Sarv Shakti Sewak Sanstha (SSSS), Machail Yatra Management, on Wednesday asked State Government to constitute Mata Machail Shrine Board on the pattern of Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine.
“In view of huge influx of pilgrims from all parts of the country, the Mata Machail Shrine Board be constituted strictly on Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine pattern by introducing a Bill in the Legislative Assembly in the coming session,” Founder Member of the Sanstha, Nek Ram Manhas told reporters here on Saturday. He mentioned that this Bill has already been passed in the Upper House moved by MLC Naresh Gupta from Bhadarwah and matter has repeatedly been brought to the notice of the Governor and the government as well.
He alleged that State Government has adopted step-motherly attitude towards this backward, inaccessible, snow bound and most remote area.
At present only one ISM Centre is sanctioned at the most famous and renowned place Machail where lakhs of devotees pay obeisance annually, he said, adding that even during the Yatra days, two ISM doctors have been deputed for a month and no lady doctor is deputed to Machail, which appears to be a joke with lakhs of devotees.
In view of belligerent behaviour of Block Unit Pacca Danga, Maha Lakshmi Temple, Jammu, re-christening the name of the unit as Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir, Pacca Danga, Jammu, on their own, splitting away from the main Sarv Shakti Sewak Sanstha (Regd), Machail Yatra Management, the speakers said that this unit has long been dissolved under the Presidentship of Sanjay Gandotra and the whole unit has been expelled from the main Sanstha.
Therefore, they cannot do any activity in the name of Mata Chandi Machail nor they can arrange buses, donations etc in the name of Machail Yatra.
He informed general public that anybody dealing with the said unit in the name of Machail Yatra, will be doing so on his own risk.
