MLA calls for compensation to rain affected families

REASI: Member of Legislative Assembly Gool-Arnas, Aijaz Ahmed Khan on Friday listened to issues of locals during a camp here at Dharmari.
SDM Dharmari Naresh Sharma, Chief Education Officer B.S. Jaral, ZEO, Tehsildar, engineers and other district and sectoral officers were present on the occasion.
Locals from Thuroo, Thiloo, Matlote, Arnas, Chinkah, Hunder, Lasooli, Kharog, Kund, Lancha, Budhan, Kanthi, Gari, Chillad, Judda and other adjoining areas in large numbers attended the camp and apprised the MLA of their concerns.
The issues of health, education, water supply, power supply, road connectivity, agriculture, horticulture, rural development, building works, old age pension, scholarships, ration supply were raised by people.
Locals also demanded finalisation of pending selection of AWWs in ICDS Project Arnas and new Anganwadi centers for uncovered areas, proper medical facilities for the patients in all Panchyats and filling up of vacant posts in various schools.
The MLA resolved many issues on the spot by directing concerned officers to take necessary action. He assured the public that for remaining issues, all possible efforts would be made by taking up them with higher ups.
The SDM and Tehsildars were instructed by MLA for proper assessment of the damages due to recent rains and flood in the hilly areas to provide compensation to the affected families.
