JAMMU: Police on Tuesday arrested on burglar and recovered stolen gold ornaments from his possession.
According to report, one Manjeet Singh, son of Balwan Singh, resident of H.No 590, Mohalla Khajuria, Paloura, on May 15, 2017, lodged a written complaint that on the intervening night of May 14/15 some unknown persons entered into his house and decamp with gold ornaments. On this, a case vide FIR No. 30/2017 under relevant sections was registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation started.
During the course of investigation several suspects were rounded up and today one Sahil Sharma, son of Gian Chand, resident of 510, Suraksha Vihar Paloura, during questioning, confessed his involvement in above said theft case and on his disclosure stolen gold ornaments were recovered.
The arrest and recovery was made by SHO Police Station Janipur Inspector Verinder under the supervision of SDPO City West and SP City North.
