General line teachers protest against CEO Jammu

JAMMU: General line teachers held a strong protest against the irregularities happening in the Office of Chief Education Officer (CEO), Jammu.
A large number of teachers under the banner of General Line Teachers Forum assembled in front of the Office of CEO Jammu and raised slogans.
State President of the Forum, Neeraj Sharma condemned the autocratic and arbitrary functioning of CEO Jammu who has got his transfer order modified from District Samba to Jammu to run the ‘Transfer Industry’ for which he has developed taste during his last stint as CEO Jammu.
Neeraj alleged CEO Jammu has recently effected hundreds of transfer of teachers observing no rules or policy.
Many blue eyed have been transferred prematurely including many others at zero km distances also whereas many are enjoying at their favourite schools for last eight to nine years and are not transferred, he said.
He further alleged that CEO Jammu is misusing his powers to effect transfer of teachers for favourites and other proposed by his agents in the office.
Neeraj said that CEO Jammu discriminately targets male teachers while making transfers, while favouring female teachers whereas no such gender difference is prescribed by Govt rules.
“If the CEO Jammu failed to stop such discriminatory attitude as soon as possible, then we will launch protest and for any untoward incident, the authorities will be responsible”, he warned.
Dr Parshotam Jamwal, Vivek Gupta, Sushma Sambyal, Rakesh thakur, Sonu Sharma, Kulbhushan Singh, Sanjeev Singh, Himmat Sharma, Kiran Kumar, Pawandeep Kour, Gaganbir Singh, Naresh Manhas, Amit Dabgotra, Ramneesh Khajuria, Jeevakant, Surinder Singh, Waseem, Rawat Singh, Ram Krishan, Naresh Sharma and Reeta Sambyal were also present.
