KATRA: Wrestler Kapil of Guru Hanuman Akhara Delhi lifted 15th Annual Karua Kesari Dangal 2017 by defeating wrestler Kaka of R.S Pura, Jammu in the main bout that lasted for 16 minutes at village Karua in Tehsil and District Reasi.
The Dangal was organized by Karua Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of ots President Shiv Kumar Sharma and President of Karua Dangal Committee Banarsi Lal.
In all 48 bouts were played in this one day long Dangal.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babu Ram was the Chief Guest who contributed Rs. 11,000 i.e, prize money of main bout to organizers. Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council Shiv Kumar Sharma presided over the function.
ZEO Pouni Gopal Krishan Komal, SHO Reasi Jasbir Singh and General Secretary Reasi District Indian Style Wrestling Association Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) were the Guests of Honour.
Winner of main bout Kapil received a cash prize of Rs. 6,000 by Babu Ram Sharma, Shiv Kumar Sharma and Master Banarsi Lal while runner up wrestler Kaka got Rs. 5,000 by Sarpanch Ram Parkash, ZEO Pouni Gopal Krishan Komal and SHO Reasi Jasbir Singh.
Second main bout was won by Paula of Himachal Pradesh who defeated Dillar Khan of J&K Police, third bout was won by Bobari of Sarore who defeated Bhura of Himachal Pradesh and another bout was won by Sachin of Delhi who defeated Munner Khan of Nagrota. Sachin of Delhi adjudged as best wrestler of the Dangal. He was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 500.
Members of organizing committee and Technical Officials who helped for conduct of this one day Dangal included Master Bansi Lal (President), Sarpanch Ram Parkash, Sudesh Kumar, Satish Kumar, Shankeru, Rattan Lal, Sohan Lal, Anil Kumar, Deepak Kumar Master, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Deepak Wazir, Murli Dhar (Munna), Romesh Bhagat, Pawan Singh & Master Ram Krishan.
