JAMMU: An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) died in a road accident here on the city outskirts, police said on Sunday. “ASI Sudershan Kumar, 55, resident of Ward No 4, Billawar, district Kathua, died in a road accident last evening when his scooty was hit by a tipper near Kunjwani here,” police said. They said the cop was posted at District Police Lines, Jammu.
“The tipper driver fled from the spot after the accident, but the vehicle has been seized and efforts are on to arrest the accused,” they added.
