KC Sports, Laxmi Club, KCCC win in Simula T20

JAMMU: KC Sports Club, Laxmi Club and KCCC registered wins in the ongoing Simula T20 Super League being organized by Simula Global Group of Companies and Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association at Science College Hostel Ground, here on Thursday.
In the first match of the day, KC Sports Club defeated Singh Cricket Club by 24 runs.
Batting first, KC Sports Club set a challengeable target of 163 runs for the loss of four wickets in 20 overs. Ateev Saini smashed 83 runs followed by Abhishant and Gourav, who added 28 and 21 runs to the total. For Singh Club, Toyab and Sunil took one wicket each.
Singh Cricket Club, in reply could not achieve the target and made 139 runs in 20 overs for the loss of nine wickets. Sonu made 51 and Sunny scored 39 runs. For KC Sports Club, Ateev claimed six wickets, Abhishant took two and Arjun picked one wicket. Ateev was adjudged Man of the Match.
In another match, Laxmi Club defeated RCC by 86 runs. Batting first, Laxmi Club scored 168 runs for the loss of five wickets in 18 overs. Dhruv with (47), Akash (40) and Ashu (23) were the main scorers. For RCC, Praful took three wickets while Manjeet grabbed two.
RCC, in reply, failed to chase and was bowled out for 82 runs. Dilbag, Aryan and Musaif were the main scorers with 27, 17 and 15 runs respectively.
For RCC , Monu picked three wickets, Sant Baksh took two and Sameer and Nitin shared apiece each. Akash was adjudged Man of the Match.
In last match of the day, KCCC declared winner on average basis. Batting first, J and K Sports Promoters scored 112 runs for the loss of ten wickets in 18.1 overs. Pankaj scored 36 runs, Rompy made 21 and Abhinav Puri added 15 runs to the total. For KCCC, Bandeep grabbed three wickets, Manik and Ramdayal took two each while Akash and Ankush shared one wicket. In reply, KCCC made 48 runs in 6 overs for the loss of one wicket and match was stopped due to rain. The jury of the tournament decided to declare the KCCC winner on the average of 6 overs. Today’s matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Saleem Ur Rehman, Madan Mohan, Sandeep and Vinod Kandayara.
