MIRAN SAHIB: In continuation to operation Chatak, a drive against vehicle lifters, AVTAR team headed by SHO Police Station Miran Sahib arrested two vehicle lifters and recovered one motorcycle (Pulsar) from their possession and worked out vehicle theft case within the 24 hours.
According to a report, on 7th June 2017, one Vikas Verma son of Vijay Kumar resident of Krishna Nagar, Miran Sahib reported at Police Station Miran Sahib that some unknown person (s) has stolen his bike bearing registration number JK02AR-3714 (Red colour Pulsar) which he had parked in front of his house.
On this, a case vide FIR No 84/2017 under section 379/RPC was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and investigation started. During the course of investigation many suspects were rounded up and raids were conducted to recover the vehicle.
Police party apprehended two persons Aman Chargal alias Mintu son of Satpal Chargal resident of Gazian Tehsil RS Pura and Mohd Mansha son of Mohd Mirza Choudhary resident of Marallian Tehsil R S Pura which admitted their involvement in aforesaid vehicle theft and on their disclosure above said stolen vehicle was recovered.
The arrest and recovery were made by Inspector Ravinder Singh Rakwal, SHO Police Station Miran Sahib.
