JAMMU: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) President, Subash Shastri hailed the decision of the State Cabinet to release, the much awaited and pending DA installments of eleven per cent dearness allowance which was due to employees and pensioners, from July last and January this year in favor of the employees of the State Government and pensioners and described it as a pro-employees gesture.
Appreciating the decision, Shastri thanked Chief Minister, Dy Chief Minister and all Cabinet colleagues particularly Finance Minister Dr. Haseeb Drabu for releasing of latest DA installments.
Shastri disclosed that State Government should now focus on regularisation of nearly sixty one thousand daily rated workers in whose case a policy programs of regularization though announced has not been implemented so far. The issue has caused a lot of anguish and hardship with in working class, he said.
Shastri demanded early creation of wage head for regularly disbursement of their timely salary, issuance of notification regarding implementation of 7th Pay Commission recommendations, enhancing medical allowance to rupee three thousand per month and releasing all pending wages of daily rated workers.
