JAMMU: Laxmi Club, NCC and Simula Club registered win in the ongoing Simula T20 Super League being organised by Simula Global Group of Companies and Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at Science College Hostel Ground, here on Wednesday.
In the first match of day, Laxmi Club defeated J and K Sports Promoters Club by eight runs.
Batting first, Laxmi Club scored 141 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Santbaksh with (36), Sameer (24) and Ashu (23) runs were the main scorers. For Sports Promoters Club, Rompy was the wrecker-in-chief who grabbed five wickets while R.K Bhat took one. In reply, Sports Promoters Club failed to chase the target and managed to score 133 runs in 20 overs for the loss of nine wickets. Pankaj Lada and Farooq Ahmad made 37 and 30 runs respectively while Balwan Singh added 24 runs to the total. For Laxmi Club, Sameer Khajuria picked four wickets while Ashu took two and Monu claimed one. Sameer Khajuria was adjudged Man of the Match.
In another match, NCC defeated KCCC by nine
wickets.
Batting first, KCCC was bowled out for 76 runs in 15.2 overs. Raman Thaploo and Sahil Lalotra were the top scorers with 23 and 18 runs. For KCCC, Vijay, Sahil and Inderjeet shared three wickets each while Ankush took one. KCCC, in reply, achieved the target in 9.4 overs for the loss of one wicket. Manish Dogra played an inning of 37 runs while Sahil Balwal and Amritpal contributed 21 and 16 runs respectively. For NCC, Manik took a lone wicket. Sahil was adjudged Man of the Match.
In last match of the day, Simula Club outplayed KC Sports Club by seven wickets. Batting first, KC Sports Club scored 123 runs for the loss of three wickets in 18 overs. Ateev smashed 65 runs and Abhishant made 47. For Simula Club, Raman Dutta picked three wickets. In reply, Simula Club achieved the target for the loss of three wickets in 14.3 overs. Shashi scored 40 runs, Hardeep made 31 runs and Shashi added 16 to the winning total. For KC Sports Club, Devvatsh took two wickets and Vishal grabbed one. Shashi was adjudged Man of the Match.
Man of the Match awardees of today’s matches were given a cash prize of Rs. 1000 each.
Today’s matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Saleem Ur Rehman, Madan Mohan,Sandeep and Vinod Kandayara.
