RAMBAN: A passenger died while alighting from the bus on the National Highway at Dhalwas in Chanderkot area on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased identified as Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid of village Dhalwas reportedly was seriously injured when he fell off the moving Banihal bound bus (JK02B-7855).
According to the police officials, he had received serious injuries on his head when he fell on the stones beside the road. He succumbed to his injuries at the District Hospital, Ramban.
The police has retained the bus and detained its driver for investigation after registering a case under 279 RPC and 304-A RPC.
