GOOL-SANGALDAN: Raising the concern of common man suffering from chronic diseases in State, Panther Party’s State President and former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia on Friday asked the government to start AIIMS OPD at Super Speciality Hospital Jammu to provide modern health care facilities to ailing patients.
He said people from far flung areas are suffering from chronic diseases and can’t afford costly treatment and starting of AIIMS OPD at Jammu will cater to their basic health care facility.
Leading the ‘Haq-insaaf’ Yatra started for separate Jammu State, Panther Party’s State President Balwant Singh Mankotia addressed series of rallies at block Gandhari, Sangaldan, Gool and Jamslan of Ramban District.
While addressing the gathering, Mankotia made a scathing attack on ruling BJP for shifting of AIIMS to Kashmir in a well planned conspiracy which was announced for Jammu region.
“People of Jammu region launched an aggressive agitation forced Central Government to announce another AIIMS for Jammu,” he added.
Mankotia said now ruling coalition partners are creating hurdles in establishment of this prestigious health care project by befooling people and making excuses about non-availability of suitable land.
Panthers Party President said history shows that people of Jammu region didn’t get any project without agitation and people were forced to come on roads for their rights.
The announced AIIMS is only on papers and more than two years have passed but no work has been started for this project while others sanctioned in country are now catering the need of ailing patients, Mankotia regretted.
After transfer of land and construction of requisite building for AIIMS, Govt should start AIIMS OPD at Super Speciality Hospital at Jammu so that people from far flungs areas of Ramban, Gool, Mahore, Sangaldan, Kishtwar, Doda, Poonch and Rajouri can avail the best health care facility in the State.
