RAJOURI: Police on Thursday rescued a minor girl within 24 hours of her kidnapping.
According to a report, on 31st May 2017, a person resident of Behrote lodged a written report at Women Police Station Rajouri that his minor daughter has been kidnapped. He alleged that one Navid Ahmed son of Zaffar Mirza resident of Kote Behrote has kidnapped him. Accordingly, case FIR No.24/2017 U/S 363/109 RPC was registered in Women Police Station Rajouri and investigation was taken up. Distt Police immediately deputed police parties of Women Police Station Rajouri to different suspected locations of Rajouri, Thanamandi, Darhal and Kandi-Budhal under the supervision of In-Charge Dy.SP Women PS Rajouri Shazia A Mir for recovery of the abducted girl.
However on 1st June 2017, acting on specific information, a police team headed by SI Sushma Kumari , SHO Women PS Rajouri, recovered the abducted girl from Shahdhara Sharief, the accused person fled away from the spot. After medical examination and other legal formalities, police handed over the girl to her parents and further investigation is going on.
