KARGIL: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor (CEC) Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Kargil, Kacho Ahmed Ali Khan on Thursday visited Zojilla Pass at Minamarg to inspect the ongoing snow clearance work.
He was accompanying with Advisor to CEC Haji Mohammad Shafi, Deputy Commissioner Kargil Haji Gulzar Hussain, SSP Kargil T Gyalpo, BRO officers and other district officers.
Kacho appreciated the ongoing work done by Border Road Organisation Project Viajayk at Zojila pass.
Meanwhile BRO officers while briefing about the work told CEC that they are likely clear snow from the national highway by 15th April. It is pertinent to mention here that Srinagar -Kargil National Highway was closed after heavy snowfall in the region in ending December 2016 due to which on 25th January 2017 Ladakh was even digitally disconnected after Optical Fiber cable was broken.
