SRINAGAR: According to the Returning Officer, Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency, out of seven candidates whose nominations were found valid for contesting the bye-elections as per the provisions of the People Representation Act 1951, Mohammad Yaseen Paswal an Independent candidate has withdrawn his candidature on Wednesday,the last day of withdrawal of nomination papers.
After Paswal’s withdrawal, six candidates including Ghulam Ahmad Mir of INC-NC (joint candidate), Mufti Tassaduq of PDP, Sanjay Kumar Dhar of Rashtriya Samajwadi Party (S), Ghulam Mohammad Wani of All J and K Kissan Mazdoor Party, and Independent candidates, Rakesh Koul and Sajad Ahmad Dar are now in fray for Anantnag Parliamentary seat which is going to polls on 12th April, 2017 in which 13,27,638 voters are exercising their right to vote
