Over 300 participate in ‘Khelo India’ under Miran Sahib Zone

JAMMU: More than 300 players from various schools participated in two-day long ‘Khelo India’ programme in Miran Sahib Zone here.
Khelo India is an initiative of Government of India and the events are being held statewide under the banner of J and K State Sports Council.
The players participated in the disciplines of volleyball, athletics, kabaddi, boxing and wrestling.
‘Khelo India’, is a step forward to unearth the hidden talent in the rural belts.
SDPO R S Pura, DySP Sandeep Chowdhary was the Chief Guest on the occasion while the SHO Police Station Miran Sahib Pawan Kumar was the Guest of Honour.
The winners and runner-up participants were handed over cash prizes by the Chief Guest.
Senior Coach Manisha Gupta was the Coordinator of the event while she was assisted by Rachna Jamwal, Gurcharan Singh and Vikas (Coaches).
The event was held under the supervision of District Sports Officer, MA Stadium, Ravi Singh and overall guidance of Secretary State Sports Council.,Wahid Parra.
