JAMMU: Former MLA Billawar Thakur Balbir Singh has been chosen as a Congress nominee for the biennial election to Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council.
It has been decided on Tuesday evening after threadbare deliberations among senior congress leaders in consultations with senior party leaders at Delhi.
Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma while talking to STATE TIMES confirmed that the name of Thakur Balbir Singh has been finalised as congress candidate for MLC elections after Congress President Sonia Gandhi approved the candidature of Balbir Singh, who will represent the Jammu.
