Beijing: Three people were killed today after falling off a tower crane at a construction site in east China, authorities said.
The accident happened at Tongcheng City in Anhui Province, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
The three workers were installing a tower crane at the construction site of a development project, but were thrown off the cab when its railings suddenly loosened and gave way, the report said.
One of them was killed at the spot and the other two died later in the hospital.
The local government has launched an investigation.
