JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Tug of War Association on Monday finalised the State teams for the upcoming 10th Open and Fourth Beach Senior National Tug of War Championship to be held at Sports Complex, Punjabi University Patiala in Punjab from 29th March to 1st April.
The teams were selected by the technical panel under the guidance of Association President, Hardeep Singh Anand. Other members of the panel included Jodh Singh Isher (Secretary) and Jasvir Singh (Joint Secretary). The same teams were screened by the J and K State Sports Council. The teams are accompanied by Sorav Dubey, Jaswinder Singh, Ajay Kumar, Ritu Dogra and Sohan Lal as officials. Later teams were given away sports kits, sponsored by Trans Asia Hotels Pvt. Ltd. Unit Hotel Asia Jammu Tawi, Jammu, by Hardeep Singh Anand.
TEAMS: 10th Open National: Under-640 kg: Sanjeev Chib, Arif Majeed, Manjeet, Nasir, Zahoor, Showkat, Zakir, Arshad and Abrar. 560 Mix (4+4) Men, Women: Prabhjote Kour, Megha, Jagandeep, Kiran, Kosar, Pawan Salaria, Sushant Padha, Shabir and Irshad Ahmad.
4th Beach: 600 kg: Dileshwar, Ajay, Tanuj, Tahir, Koshal, Lalit, Naveed, Gurcharan Singh and Kanuj Sharma. 540 kg Mix (4+4) Men, Women: Gurleen, Priyanka, Anadhika, Saloni, Kajal, Jagdeep, Nirmal, Mohammad Arif and Israr Ahmed.
