ReT Forum seeks regularisation, transfer policy

JAMMU: All J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum on Sunday sought release of SSA salary, regularisation and a concrete transfer policy.
The demands came to fore in a meeting of the forum held under the chairmanship of State President Vinod Sharma. The meeting was attended by the executive members of the Forum including District Presidents. . Vinod Sharma urged the Education Minister and Finance Minister to make provision for the release of several months’ salary of SSA teachers whose families are on the verge of starvation. “There is also a huge pendency in the form of pay arrears, DA arrears, etc and the SSA teachers are suffering badly”, he added.
He further said that banks have been charging compound interests on the salary loans/ housing loans etc and in several cases have seized the accounts of the guarantors. He also demanded the regularisation of ReTs whose files are lying in Directorate of School Education who have obtained degrees from UGC recognised Universities, as in many of such cases the department has received the verifications from such universities. He also demanded the transfer policy in favour regularised ReT teachers as per High Court judgment and said that they are hopeful that new Education Minister will consider the issues of ReTs sympathetically and bring them out of sufferings.
State General Secretary, Najam Jafri demanded confirmation of all regularised teachers who have completed 2 years after their regularisation and degrees of Regularised ReTs be entertained and necessary permission in this regard be issued.
Meanwhile, executive body of RET Forum hailed the decision of Education Minister Altaf Bukhari and MoS Education Priya Sethi to revoke Government order No 66 and showing positive approach to resolve issues of ReTs including release of SSA salary and transfer policy.
Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Rajesh Jamwal, Lekh Raj Parihar, Mohd Yousaf Shah, Suresh Sharma, Hans Raj, Jasbir Singh, Manhor Choudhary, Sandeep Sharma, Ajmer Singh, Dinesh, S.S Manhas, Navjot Singh, Arvind Thakur, Suresh Kumar, Surinder and Ravinder Chib also spoke on the occasion.
