SRS: Probe illegal settlement of Rohingyas, Bangladeshis

JAMMU: Expressing serious concern over the managing of vital documents by Rohingyas and Bangladeshis residing in Jammu region from government departments to justify their illegal stay, State President Shri Ram Sena, Rajiv Mahajan asked the State Government to weed out corrupt officials and take strict action against them.
“Jammu and Kashmir State has suffered a lot on account of accountability, corruption and inefficiency,” Rajiv said and asked the PDP-BJP alliance to take certain corrective measures to curb corruption in the State. He said that the State Government had admitted on the floor of the House that there were about 5,000 of Rohingyas and Bangladeshi immigrants who had been unlawfully settled in clusters along the outskirts of Jammu city and Samba.
He said it is shocking that Rohingyas and Bangladeshis residing in Jammu region have reportedly managed vital documents like Aadhaar, voter and ration cards besides fake State Subject certificates. How Rohangyas and Bangladeshis managed vital documents from government departments without State Subject? he questioned State Government and asked it to initiate probe in this regard and take strict action against corrupt officials found in this act. Describing the Rohingyas and Bangladeshis illegal settlement in Jammu as a grave threat, he asked PDP-BJP leadership not merely issuing press statements for public over the issue deport them from the state immediately.
