Jammu Rising Stars leads 2-0 in five-match series

JAMMU: Continuing their winning streak, Jammu Rising Stars registered second win in the ongoing five-match Cricket Evaluation Series for junior cricketers, organised by Jammu Sports Council and J and K Sports Promoters Club at Parade Ground, here on Friday.
Earlier, Jammu Rising Stars defeated Vishal Jammu Kings by 10 wickets.
Batting first, Vishal Jammu Kings scored 121 runs for the loss of two wickets in 20 overs. Sachin and Akshit played fine innings of 53 and 51 runs respectively.
For Jammu Rising Stars, Dhruv took one wicket and another batsman was declared run out.
Jammu Rising Stars, in reply, achieved the target in 16.3 overs without losing any wicket.
Rohan Gill scored unbeaten 49 runs while Arya Sachivansh scored 29 runs (retired hurt) and Shivansh made unbeaten 23 runs for Jammu Rising Stars. Rohan Gill was adjudged Man of the Match.
Today’s match was officiated by the technical panel including Sandeep Manchanda, Sanjay Manchanda and Vinod Kandayara.
In today’s match, Vikrant Sharma, Chief Prosecuting Officer DPO Jammu, was the Chief Guest, who was accompanied with Rajesh Gill Organising Secretary, Mohd. Rafiq Sr. PO and Ravi Kant SHO Bus Stand.
