Cong decries Govt’s apathy towards agitating contractual lecturers

JAMMU: Former MLC and Chief Spokesperson Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), Ravinder Sharma on Wednesday lashed out at the indifferent approach of the government towards the agitating contractual lectures.
In a statement, Sharma regretted that the government has failed to initiate dialogue with agitating candidates, who are on fast on to death and chain hunger strike for the part over a month now.
It is a matter of shock that mother of Vinod Kumar, who was on fast on to death, has expired, while his son was struggling for the cause of contractual lecturers. He conveyed heartfelt condolences to the family of Vinod Kumar and criticised the attitude of the State Government towards the highly educated youth serving for the past 10 to 12 years in different institutions on meagre Salaries.
They deserve to be considered for regularisation and government should immediately initiate dialogue with them and concede their demand, he said.
