JCC beat Baramulla Club by 9 wkts to enter semis

JAMMU: Jammu Cricket Club (JCC) on Tuesday made it a huge nine wickets win against Baramulla Cricket Club to enter the semifinal stage of the ongoing First 50-over State Level Chief Minister’s Cup, organised by J and K State Sports Council in collaboration with Country Cricket Academy at village Gharota, near here.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Baramulla Club was bowled out for 110 runs in 38.3 overs. Jawar Bashir remained top scorer with 26 runs while Jaswinder Singh added 19 runs. For JCC, Rohit bowled deadly spell taking away five wickets for 17 runs. Deepak Dogra took three for 22 in 9.3 overs.
In reply, JCC achieved the target, rather easily, making 111 runs in 16 overs for one wicket. Sahil Mohtra made unbeaten 50 while Guru Partap contributed 40 not out. Mujeeb for Baramulla took the lone wicket of Jasvinder
Singh (15).
Now, in the semifinals, JCC shall take on NCC on 23rd March.
