JAMMU: Former Minister and General Secretary PCC, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma lamented BJP-PDP dispensation over the recent appointments of 16 Vice Chairmen in different corporations of the State to accumulate and please their political workers by misusing the tax payers money.
Sharma said that this type of political appointments are totally useless and will over burden the already debt ridden corporations which are already on ventilators and working on budgetary support by the State Government.
Sharma said that most of the corporations are unable to generate expenditure on account of salary and other administrative expenses and are functioning under debt of crores of rupees which is further increasing by each passing day due to non-payment of interest.
Sharma further said that most of the organisations and corporations in which the appointments have been made are on the verge of closure due to non-performing assets worth crores of rupees such as SRTC and State Forest Corporation.
Sharma questioned that how the State Finance Minister/ Finance Department allowed State Government to make such appointments? “This type of political rehabilitation of their near and dears is big blunder in a cash starved State like J and K where the government is not able to pay the salaries to the daily wagers and casual labourers of different departments, teachers and health department employees for months together.
