SSF felicitates social activists for helping ailing woman

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Ladakh Samaj Sudhar Forum felicitated the intellectuals of the State for their outstanding and exceptional role played during the 2015-16 to help the needy people.
President of the Forum, K.A Dewani, garlanded Anju Bhan Koul and Rahul Bhat for arranging the blood, medicines and extending full help to a Muslim woman in the Government Hospital Jammu, who was at the bed of death and no one was present to help her.
Anil Razdan and Vinod Kumari were declared as social activists of the year for playing amazing role to curb the social evils and for promoting peace and communal harmony.
Dildar Singh General Secretary, presented annual report of the forum. Besides social evils, various problems of Jammuites such as poor sanitation in SMGS Hospital, traffic jam in the city and over loading in matadors were discussed during the function.
Dewani and State Chairman, Jugal Kishore Gupta expressed that SMGS Hospital Jammu is a historical hospital but due to poor response from the administration it has become a symbol of shame for the government. “The dirty condition and poor sanitation has become harmful for the patients which needs immediate action from the hospital administration,” he added.
