JAMMU: Commercial Taxes Department, Jammu under the supervision of Commissioner Commercial Taxes, J and K and Additional Commissioner, Commercial Taxes (Administration), Jammu organized a seminar on Goods and Services Tax here on Thursday.
Aimed at educating the traders on various aspects of Goods and Services Tax, the programme was attended by the traders of Ware House, Nehru Market, Nai Basti Satwari, Jammu and other business establishments.
The seminar commenced with an overview on the new tax regime with focus on mechanisms of transparency and self-policing inbuilt in this PAN India indirect tax reform.
The experts of Commercial Taxes Department, Jammu deliberated on various provisions of the Draft Act and
its implication on the State economy. Besides, a presentation on Registration, Return and Payments involved in Goodsand Services Tax was displayed by the officials of the department.
