JAMMU: About 47,000 candidates are set to appear in Combined Competitive Examination this weekend. This was revealed by Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission Latief-u-Zamaan Deva while reviewing the arrangements for the upcoming exams with Deputy Commissioners of various districts.
Commission is conducting Preliminary Examination on 19th March, 2017 for 277 posts referred to it by the State Government for direct recruitment in Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services, Police services and Accounts services.
Deva said contrary to the past, this time examination centres have also been created at Anantnag, Baramulla, Doda, Rajouri, Leh, Kargil enabling candidates from far flung areas to participate in the examination without causing any inconvenience.
During the video conference, the Deputy Commissioners gave details about the arrangements made by them in conformity with the instructions of the Commission for the smooth conduct of the examination which includes the specific duties to be performed at various levels by the Custodians/Coordinating Supervisors and others etc.
The examination shall be conducted in two sessions one each commencing at 10 AM to 12 noon for General Studies and for optional from 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM.
