JAMMU: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists today held a protest against Minister for Social Welfare, ARI and Trainings and Science and Technology, Sajad Gani Lone for sharing dias with Vice Chancellor of Jammu University, Prof R.D Sharma in a function inside the university.
Irked over his decision to share dais with the Vice Chancellor, the ABVP workers this morning raised slogans against him outside the university main gate and burnt effigy the minister.
ABVP Jammu Mahanagar Secretary, Deepak Gupta said that it was our appeal to the public representative not to share dais with such a controversial Vice Chancellor who had triggered a controversy by saying that Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani, who was killed by security forces, should have been captured alive to avoid unrest in the Kashmir Valley.
Akash Sharma, Jagdeep Chahal, Jaspal, Shahnawaz, Riyaz, Rahul and Anjil Sooraj were also present in the protest.
