Padli team win Inter-Village Kabaddi Trophy

AKHNOOR: Village Padli won the trophy of Inter-Village Kabaddi Competition organised by Indian Army at Budhwal Kabaddi Ground, here on Wednesday.
In the final match, Padli team outplayed Khour team in a tough contest.
“A total of nine teams from villages Chakrama, Dhar Khour, Channi Dewanun, Padli, Khour, Khunda Nandwal, Budhwal and Nikkiyan participated in the competition and all nine teams were divided in three pools,” Defence Spokesperson Lt Col Manish Mehta said.
A week long tournament, he added, was an opportunity for the youths of the area to display their sporting skills and boost their self confidence.
The army authorities presented the prizes and trophies to the winners and runners up teams.
