JAMMU: A driver of State Motor Garages was killed while Additional Deputy Commissioner (Addl DC) Reasi, his wife were among six injured when the official vehicle collided with a mini-bus coming from opposite side near Bhambla area in District Reasi.
As per the details, official vehicle of Addl DC Reasi Babu Ram, Scorpio (JK02AU-5537) collided with a matador (JK20 4010) which was carrying Baratis. The driver of the Scorpio died on the spot while ADC Babu Ram, his wife Rakhi, friend Subhash and three Baratis travelling in mini-bus were injured.
The deceased driver has been identified as Amarjit Singh, son of Gajan Singh, resident of Sec 3 Nanak Nagar Jammu. His body has been shifted to Reasi Hospital for post-mortem.
The injured have been identified as Vijay Kumar, son of Thru Ram, resident of Talimore Reasi, Anu Devi, wife of Puran Chand, resident of Kalad, Rashmi Devi, daughter of Puran Chand, resident of Kalad. Police has registered an FIR and launched manhunt to nab the driver of mini-bus who escaped from the spot.
