Police seizes 1500 ltr kerosene, accused flee

RAMBAN: Police on Monday on seized 1,500 litres kerosene oil from a store.
As per the details, police received an information from reliable sources that one Mushtaq Ahmed son of Ghulam Nabi of Thachi Amkote dumped number of barrels filled with kerosene oil in his shop at Sherbibi for illegal sale to the drivers on National Highway.
On this information police party raided the said store but Mushtaq Ahmed fled away from the spot. During the search of shop about 1,500 litres of kerosene oil were recovered and seized.
In this regard case vide FIR No 21/17 under section 3/7 EC Act was registered and investigation taken up. The whole operation was conducted by Sub Inspector Shamim Ahmed which was supervised by SDPO Banihal Dheeraj Singh Katoch under the overall supervision and guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ramban Mohan Lal.
