JAMMU: Amandeep Hospital started the treatment of varicose veins with absolutely new Laser technique in Jammu.
Laparoscopic Surgeon Dr. Paramjit Singh Kahlon informed that varicose vein (swollen leg veins) occur when the veins become enlarged, dilated and overfilled with blood. He is attending special OPD at Amandeep Multi-Speciality OPD Clinic, Marble Market Extension, Greater Kailash Chowk, Jammu, on 26th February 2017 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
He informed that varicose veins are often painless and have a bluish-purple or red color. “Smaller threads like veins occur in many patients and these are reticular or thread veins. These do not cause any problem. The condition is very common, especially in women. Veins have one-way valves that prevent blood from flowing backwards. When these valves fail, blood begins to collect in the vein rather than continuing toward the heart. Varicose veins often affect the legs because they are the farthest from the heart and gravity makes it harder for the blood to flow upward,” Kahlon said.
Earlier, this disease was treated with long surgeries but now a days, laser surgery has been started which is painless, it saves time, no scars, less hospital stay, same day back to activity, no blood loss, no infection. Patients can register their names by calling on 94191-29200.
