JAMMU: Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), Reasi Kamlesh Pandita on Monday rejected the bail application of Baljeet Singh, son of Sadhu Ram, resident of Mahore, Reasi for his alleged involvement in kidnapping and rape with minor.
According to police, a case FIR No. 10/2017 has been registered against the accused.
It was further revealed that on 16th January, 2017, the complainant lodged a report against the accused for kidnapping and raping her minor daughter and also threatening her of dire consequences.
After hearing both sides, the Court observed that crimes against women are on the rise and these offences suffocate the breath of life and sully the reputation of victims.
The Court further observed that, “Respect for reputation of woman in the society shows the basic civility of a civilised society.” No member of a society can afford to conceive the idea that can create hollow in the honour of a woman and sexual molestation of minor is not only lamentable but also deplorable, the Court added.
With these observations, the Court rejected bail application of the accused.
