BSF School lifts Jammu Soccer Championship

JAMMU: BSF School Paloura lifted the trophy of Jammu Soccer Championship ‘Khelo Khel-Bhulo Nasha’, organised by District Police under Civic Action Programme of Jammu and Kashmir Police at Parade Ground, here on Friday.
In the final played today, BSF School defeated KC Public School by two goals to nil. The first goal was scored by Shivam Sharma in 24th minute and second by Sourav Kumar in 54th minute. For KC Public School, players tried hard but fail to score a single goal. In the closing ceremony, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu, S.D Singh Jamwal was the Chief Guest who gave away trophy to winner and runner up teams in the presence of Ashkoor Ahmad Wani DIG, Incharge SSP Jammu Dr. Vinod Kumar, SP Headquarters Jammu Ramesh Kotwal and Chief Prosecuting Officer Rajesh Gill.
IGP Jammu stressed upon the budding footballers to continue with the game as it has got multifarious benefits like person remain physically and mentally fit and moreover the level of fitness helps them to build their career in police and armed forces and even these days the corporate world also adopts good players in their professional teams.
The Organising Committee team included Ramesh Kotwal SP Headquarter, Sugandha Mahajan Dy SP Headquarters, Gourav Mahajan Dy SP DAR and Ragubhir Singh SHO Nowabad. The Coordinator of the tournament was Rajesh Gill.
The officials who conducted the championship included Rahul Sharma, Dheeraj Menia, Moon Stephan and Neetika. The proceedings of the valedictory function were conducted by Sugandha Mahajan Dy SP.
Prominent persons present on the occasion were Vikrant Sharma CPO, Anil Mangotra CPO, Arjun Choudhary MD KC Sports Club, Surinder Singh Vice President JKFA, Yousaf Don Senior Football players, Sunil Coach of KC Sports Club and officials of the participating school.
