JAMMU: Former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil slammed government for not implementing recommendations of State Vigilance Commission showing poor response to High Court’s direction on multi-crore pipe scam in PHE Department.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Vakil said governments delay in implementing 771 recommendations of State Vigilance Commission even after the meeting of CVC with the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti and Governor N.N Vohra shows government’s non-seriousness on crusade against corruption. Calling upon the government to seek and immediate clarification on the implementation the recommendations of State Vigilance Commission, Vakil said Governor should also seek clarification from the government on casual approach to a recent direction of the J and K High Court on multi-crore pipes scam in PHE Department and the fate of the recommendations of other investigative agencies including SAC into the involvement of some former ministers.
He said government is sitting over the recommendations of some premiere investigative agencies on financial irregularities as well as backdoor appointments in Health Department in Kashmir Division.
