JAMMU: Hosts Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday qualified for the semifinals of both men and women events in the ongoing Senior National Tennis Ball Cricket Championship, organised by J and K Tennis Ball Cricket Association, at Mini Stadium, Parade and MA Stadium, here.
The semifinals in both the categories have been scheduled for tomorrow followed by the finals and valedictory function at Mini Stadium, Parade, here in the afternoon.
In men’s category, besides J and K, Uttar Pradesh, Goa and Himachal Pradesh have made it to the last four stages. Similarly, in girls section, Himachal Pradesh, Goa, Uttar Pradesh and J and K qualified for the semifinals.
The Results: Quarterfinals:
MEN: Uttar Pradesh beat Karnataka by two wickets; J and K defeated Puducherry by six wickets; Goa beat Western UP by four wickets; HP blanked Chattisgarh by 34 runs.
GIRLS: HP trounced Karnataka by 27 runs; Goa beat Uttrakhand by eight wickets; UP defeated Jharkhand; J and K outplayed Haryana by seven wickets.
