Those who have studied science at the school level know that in the hierarchy of evolution, amoeba is at the bottom, and man occupies the top position. To this, a student of literature remarked: ‘But this has been stated by man and nobody asked the opinion of the amoeba’ (implying that the primitive-most organism, the amoeba, might be considering itself at the top). One is reminded of it when one listens to the opinions of local level Congress spokespersons on television channels when they remark that they don’t consider it worth their time to comment on the utterances of people like the Prime Minister.
