Dear Editor,
Consequent upon the signing of the Instrument of Accession, the whole of Jammu and Kashmir State became an integral part of the Indian Union in 1948. But only a truncated Kashmir is show even in the official maps of India published by government agencies. The Surveyor-General of India must depict the complete state, including areas occupied by Pakistan by force, in the maps. This will go a long way in highlighting internationally the rightful claim of India, and Pakistan’s aggression.
