ADGP briefs Guv about security situation

JAMMU: Additional Director General of Police (Security) Dilbagh Singh called on Governor N. N Vohra here on Wednesday and briefed him about security management in the State. The Governor stressed the importance of a close surveillance being kept on all fronts.
Meanwhile, Chief Administrative Officer of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super-Specialty Hospital (SMVDNSSH) Brig (Retd.) M. M Harjai and Zonal Director Narayana Health Sunil Narayana called on Governor N. N Vohra and briefed him about the status of all aspects of the Hospital’s functioning, particularly the progressive increase in the number of outdoor and indoor patients, number of diagnostic tests conducted and number of major surgeries performed in the hospital since it commenced functioning in April, 2016. It was also informed that till date, 61 outreach camps have been held in which 11,009 patients were screened.
Harjai informed that under Shrine Board’s Medical Support Policy, 3,527 patients have been treated during April 2016-January 2017 of whom 111 were pilgrims, 3,002 Shrine Board’s employees and dependents in OPD, 67 employees and dependent in IPD, 26 patients from Gurukul, 62 patients of nearby Baridar/landowner families, 84 villagers, 125 OPD and 1 IPD from nursing students of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi College of Nursing and gratuitous relief was provided to 49 cases. Stressing the need to ensure efficient use of the state of the art diagnostic and other infrastructure available in the hospital, the Governor and the two senior executives discussed the opening of OPD Clinic at Jammu, PET scan facility and commencement of Robotic Surgery in the hospital.
In the day, Member Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) and Legal Advisor to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) D. C Raina and former Vice Chancellor, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Masood Ahmad also called on the Governor here.
