JAMMU: Hitting out at State politicians for politicising the alleged molestation case by Jammu-based senior doctor, State President, Rural Women Foundation (RWF), Suneeta Sharma said that the behaviour of politicians and Ladakh based organisations clearly indicate that there is deep rooted conspiracy to malign the image of doctor.
“The team constituted by the foundation contacted section of students, junior and senior doctors and staff members in the Medical College and enquired about the incident,” she said adding that all expressed ignorance about the said happening between a professor and a student and negated if such incident has ever taken place in the college premises. “It is unfortunate that some politicians for their vested interest have raised the non issue in the Assembly and the Upper House to influence the enquiry and to get report of their own choice,” she said adding that they have indulged In exerting pulls and pressures by managing Bandh at Leh and even led a deputation of politicians of Ladakh region for misinforming and misguiding the Chief Minister by giving the issue the shape of regionalism.
The senior Doctor, an HoD and Professor in the Medical College and Hospital has already been placed under suspension, departmental enquiry is in progress, FIR stands lodged and the law will take its own course, she said. Any further move or attempt to harm the doctor, she warned, shall be dealt with seriously and the public of Jammu shall resort to roads.
