KATRA: The 32nd meeting of the Governing Body of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital (SSH), Kakryal was held here under the chairmanship of Dr. S. S Bloeria, Member, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and Chairman of the Governing Body of the Hospital.
The Governing Body extensively reviewed the functioning of the hospital since its last nine months of operationalisation and expressed satisfaction over its performance. It took a number of important decisions for further strengthening, expanding and upgrading various diagnostic, treatment and infrastructure facilities as well as equipments on continuing basis to meet the upcoming and futuristic requirements of this tertiary medical care hospital. In this context, Dr. Bloeria emphasised the need for positioning of more and more highly experienced and renowned medicos as well as the equipments in various departments, wherever required.
Those who participated in the meeting included B. B Vyas, Financial Commissioner, Planning and Development, who is also Chairman of the Finance and Audit Committee of the Hospital and Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board; both members of the Governing Body; Dr. M. K. Kumar, Additional CEO; Dr. (Brig) Man Mohan Harjai, Chief Administrative Officer, SMVDNSH; and other concerned officers from the Shrine Board side. Those who took part in the Governing Body meeting deliberations on behalf of NVDSHPL/NH included Dr. Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, Vice Chairman, MD and Group CEO NH and member of the Governing Body of the Hospital; V. Kesavan, Group CFO, NH; A. Nagarajan, Senior Vice President Finance, NH; Sunil Kumar CN, Zonal Director, NH and CEO, SMVDNSH and Dr. Sirish Dhoble, Clinical Director, Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal.
The meeting also discussed the modalities for setting up the PET Scan facility at the earliest in the best interest of patient care as such a facility is not available elsewhere in the State. Further, regarding operationalising the organ transplant facility at the Superspeciality Hospital Kakryal, Dr. Raghuvanshi informed the meeting that the matter in regard to securing the required licences is being persistently followed up and other facilities are being put in place for this purpose. He informed that the hospital is contemplating for early commencing of kidney transplant, which will be followed by bone marrow and liver transplant facilities.
The meeting also decided that the hospital will start OPD consultation in Jammu in February 2017. The Governing Body was informed that eight major TPAs have now empanelled the hospital for providing cashless treatment to patients covered under various medical insurance policies. Soon the hospital will be empanelled by 12 more such TPAs.
