JAMMU: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) staged protest against the BJP MLAs which has failed to raise any issues being related to the Jammu region in the ongoing Assembly Session.
Led by President JWAM, Sunil Dimple, the activists assembled at New Plot Road and raised slogans against the BJP MLAs.
Dimple said that the BJP MLAs who got heavy mandate from the people of Jammu region have been failed to the represent the Jammu region in the Legislative Assembly. He said the issues being rated to AIIMS, Jammu Smart City, construction of fly over’s were not discussed in the Assembly.
He said the people of Jammu region have been suffering being related to the basic amenities and the elected representative of Jammu region have been failed to sort the hardships being faced by the people of their constituencies. He mentioned that the people of Jammu West Constituencies have been facing acute shortage of ration and kerosene oil.
Dimple urged upon the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti that under her father’s name ‘Mufti Mohammad Sayeed Food Security Act has been totally collapsed and the people of the Jammu region are without ration for the last five months even after increasing the rates of the ration.
He demanded the increased prices of the Atta, rice, sugar and kerosene oil should be rolled back.
Among others who joined the protest were include Sham Saroop Gupta, Madan Lal Dogra, Rajinder Sharma, Joginder Singh Sham Saroop, Vimal Kumar, Prem Kumar, Kanta Devi, Sheela Devi, Sita Devi, Renu Kumari, Sonia, Dogra and Rani Devi.
