HF USA wins Indo-Canadian Ice Hockey Friendship Cup

LEH: After a tough fight against New Delhi Sacred Bulls in the first half of the match, the Hockey Foundation (HF) USA finally won the Indo-Canadian Friendship Cup at the match, organised by Ladakh Winter Sports Club (LWSC) at Karzoo Ice Hockey Rink in Leh on Sunday.
Earlier in the first half of the match HF USA didn’t do well but it managed to win over New Delhi Sacred Bulls after scoring seven goals against a total of three goals by the latter.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Moses Kunzang, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, distributed prizes to winner and runner up teams.
President LWSC Nima Namgyal Gyapo announced that LWSC and Hockey Foundation USA has planned to organise Guinness World Record Highest Altitude Ice Hockey Tournament on 4th and 5th February 2018 at Durbuk which would be participated by four to five international teams and the same will be played at the world’s Highest Ice Hockey Rink.
While interacting with media, Canadian High Commissioner Jess Detton expressed happiness over smooth and successful conduct of ice hockey matches in Ladakh for many years now.
